Nest box guarding can be a dominance issue. Since she lost her previous flockmates, she may feel like she has to re-establish her place in the new group. Try placing decoy eggs in another box to encourage the pullets to lay elsewhere.

If one chicken has worms, it's likely the whole flock does. You may want to treat all of them to be safe. Also, consider cleaning their coop thoroughly and rotating their run to reduce reinfection.

If they're tossing the pellets around, they may not like their texture. You could try soaking them just enough to soften them but not fully ferment, then mix in their grains.

Since you have a large flock, you might want to experiment with multiple options,duckweed, sprouted grains, and mealworms could all work together as a supplement.

I feed mine inside because it helps prevent food from being wasted, and I can monitor how much they're eating. However, I do clean up spills regularly to avoid attracting pests.

If they have access to free-range, they might be laying somewhere unexpected. Try keeping them in the coop for a few mornings and see if that changes anything.

I like to adjust the ratio depending on the cold. When it's just chilly, I do 10% oats, but when it's really cold, I go up to 20% and mix in some extra protein sources.
