My older hen did the same thing when my pullets started laying! She eventually stopped once they all got into the routine. Just keep an eye on her to make sure she's not getting overly aggressive.

If the chicks came from a hatchery, they may have different genetic traits affecting their skin and leg color. Some breeds carry traits that cause variations in foot pigmentation.

If she was a consistent layer before, she'll likely return to laying soon. Just keep her diet balanced, and she'll start again when her body is ready.

Red bulbs help prevent pecking but aren't mandatory for brooders.
