Your nephew is going to be busy! Freezing is easiest, but drying or fermenting might be better long-term. Have you thought about using them fresh, feeding them daily instead of storing them?

I used 2x4s and chicken wire for a simple frame , cheap and effective as long as you secure it well at the base.

I just set some shipped eggs in my incubator and checked the air cells before placing them. Some of the air cells looked a bit loose, but none were completely detached or rolling around. BSFL and earthworms could be a great protein source. If you have space, a worm bin or compost system could provide a steady supply of free feed.

If she's protecting the group and not harming the others, she might just have a strong instinct to defend her space. Try adding more distractions like dust baths, tunnels, or foraging trays to see if it helps redirect her energy.
