If you're just using the run for daytime confinement, the soccer net might work, but for overnight security, I'd recommend something more durable.

I think the soccer net could work for keeping chickens in and hawks out, but I'd be worried about nighttime predators getting through it.

The garden netting might keep out some pests, but it won't stop something determined. I'd use hardware cloth on the bottom and consider a sturdier cover.

I like the idea of repurposing materials, but I'd test the strength of the soccer net first. If you can rip it easily with your hands, a raccoon or fox definitely can!
