Coop Check-In: What Did You Do in Your Coop Today?

Post by HatcheryHelper »

What's going on in your coop today?

I refreshed the bedding, collected some fresh eggs, and spent some time watching the flock do their thing. The hens were extra chatty, and my rooster tried (and failed) to impress them with a fancy dance. Always entertaining!

Did you clean, make improvements, or just hang out with your birds? Let's hear what's happening in your coop!

Was able to give the coop a good deep clean today. Scrubbed down the roosting bars, replaced all the bedding, and gave them fresh water. It's always a nice feeling when it's all tidy.

Cleaned the nesting boxes, topped them with fresh straw, and gave the girls some new treats. They love anything I bring them, so its always fun to watch their reaction.

Cleaned out the coop and added fresh straw to the floor and nesting boxes. Its amazing how much better everything smells with a bit of TLC. My hens are really enjoying the fresh environment!

I spent most of the afternoon cleaning the coop and adding new bedding. Its always so satisfying when everything is clean and fresh, and the chickens seem to appreciate it too. Afterward, I collected a few eggs, and my rooster proudly paraded around the run like he owned the place.

Took a walk around the coop and noticed a couple of small repairs needed. Fixed a loose board on the fence and tightened up some of the chicken wire. They seem much safer now!

Gave the flock some extra time out in the run today. They enjoyed the fresh air, and I watched them dust-bathe for a while. It's nice seeing them so happy!

Today, I focused on getting rid of some weeds in the run. It's not glamorous, but I like to keep the space tidy, and the chickens love picking at whatever I pull up.
People who count their chickens before they are hatched act very wisely because chickens run about so absurdly that it's impossible to count them accurately.

I let my hens free-range for a bit today. They were so content just scratching around, and I was able to enjoy some quiet time with them. Always refreshing to see them happy!

Added a little extra bedding to the nesting boxes and checked for eggs. Collected a nice handful today. I'm always amazed at how much work they put into making such perfect eggs!
