I would also check your hen's diet. Sometimes, poor nutrition can make them more susceptible to worms. Consider adding some high-quality food with more protein to help her strengthen her immune system.

It could be worth trying the 100mg/kg dose for a single treatment. I've heard some folks have success with that higher dose, especially when worms persist after standard treatments. Just make sure to monitor her closely for any adverse reactions.

Hi everyone,
Ive been dealing with worms in one of my hens, and I just cant seem to get rid of them. Ive tried multiple treatments, including praziquantel and fenbendazole, but I keep finding worm segments in the poop.
The hen seems active and healthy but has lost weight, has a very prominent breastbone, and is constantly noisymaybe shes trying to tell me she doesnt feel well?
Im not sure what to try next. Should I use a stronger dose or a different medication? Any advice would be really appreciated!
Thanks!
I recommend using a dewormer like Valbazen, which treats a wider range of worms. Also, if her weight is dropping, ensure she's getting enough calories. Sometimes adding scrambled eggs or higher-fat foods can help boost her strength while you tackle the worms.
