Backyard Fowl Keepers

Hey, fellow chicken keepers!

I just collected 8 beautiful eggs from my girls today. Thats out of 10 hens that should be laying!
Not too bad, right?
Its always a little exciting to check the nest boxes and see what surprises are waiting.

None today, but I caught one of my hens hiding her eggs under a bush last weeksneaky girl!

10 eggs out of 12 henspretty good! I just started keeping chickens, and this feels like a win.

Only 3 eggs from my 10 hens today. A little slow, but they deserve a break now and then!

A solid 6 eggs today, and one was a deep chocolate brown. Love the color variety in my egg basket!

My flock gave me 7 eggs today, and one was a double-yolker! Love those little surprises.

5 eggs today, but one had a soft shell. Thinking they might need more calcium-anyone else have this issue?

I got a full dozen today! My girls are really stepping up their game. Fresh omelets for breakfast!

My hens are in molt, so I'm getting barely any eggs right now. Hoping they bounce back soon!

My older hens have slowed down a lot, only 2 eggs today. Might be time to add some new pullets to the flock.
