It's hard to say for sure, but I think the drop in humidity probably won't affect your hatch. My incubator has done the same thing, and I still got a good hatch rate. If you're able to maintain stable humidity now, that's the most important thing.

If your compost pile is that deep, the center is likely decomposing slower due to lower oxygen levels. Turning it occasionally will help speed things up.

If your hardware cloth is exposed, rats may try chewing through it. Make sure they aren't sneaking in another way before adding more material.
