Some silkies take longer than other breeds to hatch. I always give them extra time before deciding to step in.

Hey guys, my first incubation isnt going well. A chicken egg is 4 days overdue, no movement for 3 days. I opened it slightly and saw veins still carrying blood. Could it still be alive and hatch?
Late hatches aren't uncommon, but no movement for three days isn't a good sign. Give it more time ...

I just set some shipped eggs in my incubator and checked the air cells before placing them. Some of the air cells looked a bit loose, but none were completely detached or rolling around. Since they were shipped, I placed them upright with the air cells facing up and left the automatic turner off ...

I've been tracking the eggs by hen by just paying attention to their behavior.
