My Silkie did something similar when she was indoors for a few weeks. I think she was adjusting to the different flooring-she only did it on smooth surfaces. Could your bantam be reacting to a different surface texture?

I'd watch and see if it increases over time. If she starts showing other signs of discomfort or illness, then I'd be more concerned. For now, it might just be a harmless habit.

Some chickens develop repetitive behaviors when they're separated from their flock. Could be a sign she's feeling lonely or a bit stressed. Does she react differently when you interact with her?

If she stretched her leg out normally, that's a good sign! Maybe she's just adjusting to being inside. Have you noticed if she does it more when standing still or moving around?
People who count their chickens before they are hatched act very wisely because chickens run about so absurdly that it's impossible to count them accurately.

Chickens have some odd little behaviors sometimes! As long as she's acting normal otherwise, I wouldn't worry too much. Keep an eye on her, but it's likely just a temporary thing.

Foot feather irritation sounds like a real possibility, especially with Pekins. Have you checked if any feathers are bent or broken? Maybe trimming them slightly could help.
