Post by GerryGrit »

I saw that Murray McMurray sells cranes, and Id love to get some someday. Does anyone have experience or advice on keeping them?

Consider visiting a facility that houses cranes before purchasing. They can be challenging to keep, and their needs go beyond what most backyard setups provide.

Some cranes are protected species, requiring permits and inspections. They need wetlands or large pens, fresh fish or specialized diets, and minimal human contact for proper care.

They require specific diets and enclosures. Not your typical backyard bird!
If I didn't start painting, I would have raised chickens.
