Patches might be bored or overstimulated. Adding more distractions, like a mirror or hanging treats, could redirect her attention.

I've had chicks do this too! Covering the brooder walls with fabric or cardboard can help break the habit by removing the shiny surface.

Patches might be seeing her reflection and thinking it's another chick. Covering the walls or adding a mirror can help clarify what's real.

Chicks often peck at things out of curiosity or to explore. Moving them to a larger brooder with more space and enrichment should help.

Chicks are naturally curious, and clear walls can confuse them. Covering the sides or switching to an opaque brooder might solve the issue.

It's normal for chicks to peck at shiny or reflective surfaces-they're curious! Try covering the clear sides of the brooder with paper to reduce reflections.
