What are some cheap but effective ways to enclose a chicken run? I want to keep my flock safe from predators without spending a fortune. Any creative DIY solutions or affordable materials youve had success with?

I used free pallets for the frame and cheap welded wire fencing. Sturdy, affordable, and keeps my flock safe!

T-posts and chicken wire make a quick, inexpensive run. Just be sure to bury the wire a few inches to stop digging predators.

Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace are goldmines for cheap materials. I found chain-link panels and repurposed them for my run. I reinforced the bottom with hardware cloth and added a roof of bird netting. Total cost was minimal compared to buying everything new, and the run has held up for years. Always check local listings , you never know what you'll find!

Recycled materials are your friend! I used scrap lumber and leftover fencing from a neighbor's project. Total cost? Practically nothing.

I used 2x4s and chicken wire for a simple frame , cheap and effective as long as you secure it well at the base.

Free pallets and zip ties made my run super affordable! Just add wire fencing and you've got a solid enclosure.
